I’ve always been an animal person, but for me it’s more than just loving pets. I really like getting to know them — their routines, weird little habits, favorite toys, what makes them nervous, what gets them excited, and all the small things that make them who they are. Every pet is completely different, and I think that’s one of my favorite parts of what I do.

I started Keeping It Pawsitive, because I wanted to create the kind of pet care I would personally want for my own animals. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, especially when they have a specific routine, need a little extra attention, or just don’t do well with change. I want people to feel like they can leave the house without constantly wondering if their pet is okay.

I try to keep care as normal and comfortable as possible for each pet. That might mean sticking closely to their feeding schedule, spending extra time with a shy cat, burning off some energy with a dog who needs it, or just sitting with a pet who would rather have company than play. I don’t think pet care should feel one-size-fits-all, so I always try to pay attention to what each animal actually needs.

One of the things I love most about this business is building relationships with both pets and their owners. It’s really cool when a pet starts recognizing me, gets excited when I come through the door, or slowly warms up to me after being unsure at first. Those little moments mean a lot to me, and they’re a big reason why I genuinely enjoy what I do.

Keeping It Pawsitive is insured, and I’m Pet CPR & First Aid Certified, so safety is always a priority too. At the end of the day, my goal is pretty simple: I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, and I want you to feel confident knowing they’re with someone who actually cares about them. 💛
